College confusion???
Im currently at com. college. I have about 5 more classes to go before I get the general education associate degree, which is basically the generic transfer associate degree. I decided to go this route because I was undecided. Ive researched univerisities and possible majors and nothing seems to catch my eye. However I have found a few specialized associate degrees at my current com. college that I think I would enjoy. So what should I do? Should I finish the general AA degree since im so close to being finished and then go for the “training” program. Or should I just go straight for the associate degree that I could essentially get a job in. The two im deciding between are also associate degrees im thinking between Clinical lab technician and medical coding and billing. Im not sure what I should do. Is there any benefit to having two associate degrees.

Sandra answers:
I’m telling you, get your AA and transfer to a university to get your bachelor. These days, even a bachelor won’t get you a good job. You need to think big and bright for your future. What kind of life would i want to live ten years from now. Do i want to live from paycheck to paycheck for the rest of my life or do i want to make good salary that will support my family and still have extras left in the bank. I use to be in the same situation as yours. When i was almost done with my GE courses at a com. College, i decided to just get my AA and start work. Well luckily, my dad urged me to transfer to a university and i did. I’m a sophomore at UCLA right now, majoring in economics and i’m almost done. There is a famous quote my dad use to always say, “get educated while you’re young because when you’re old you won’t have to work so hard.” ok, i know that didn’t rhyme but my point is try to get at least a masters degree. Trust me you’ll be glad later on in life.
Good luck: peace

How soon can i reenlist in Army after EPTS, RE 3?
About 2 weeks ago i was transfered out of the Army. I want back. here is separation info
EPTS
Reentry code: 3
Seperation code: JFW
Narrative reason: Failed medical/physical/procurement standards
they told me i had depression and anxiety disorders. this is not true.
i want to reenlist and start training again as soon as possible.
i need someone to shed some light on the process of reenlisting. Thank you

Sandra answers:
Sorry, you will Never be able to Re-Enlist in any Service…EVER…
The Narrative says it all: “Failed Medical/Physical/Procurement Standards”…
Basically you couldn’t pass a Physical/Mental Test of any type…
Here you thought they were only joking…
There are No “Do Overs In the Armed Services” ever…

Job at Children’s Hospital Seattle?
I am going through a medical assistant training program in seattle, that is to be ending in September of 2009. I shouldn’t be worried about this yet, but I am curious about the dress code for a Medical Assistant position. Can you wear your own scrubs, or does the hospital provide you with a dress code? Also, I have acrylic nails, is this going to be an issue with my new (soon to be) job? Thanks for your help!!!

Sandra answers:
Most hospitals now days lets the personnel wear there own clothes and the nails will be no problem!!!
